1. Our Commitment
Fahm & Co. Limited ("Fahm & Co.", "we", "us", "our") is committed to ensuring that our website at fahm.com is accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We believe that everyone should be able to access information and engage with our services without barrier.
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA standard — the current international benchmark for digital accessibility and the standard recognised as best practice under the UK Equality Act 2010.
This statement applies to the website located at fahm.com and all pages within it.
2. Legal Framework
Although Fahm & Co. is a private sector organisation and is not subject to the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018, we recognise and comply with the following:
Equality Act 2010: Requires all organisations providing goods, services, or facilities to make reasonable adjustments to ensure equal access for people with disabilities. Compliance with WCAG 2.2 AA is recognised as best practice for meeting this duty.
European Accessibility Act (EAA) 2025: As Fahm & Co. works with clients across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, the EAA — which came into force in June 2025 — is relevant to our international digital presence. We align our website with WCAG 2.2 AA to meet the accessibility requirements of those transactions.
WCAG 2.2 Level AA: The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), version 2.2, at conformance level AA. This is the standard against which we measure and report our accessibility.
3. Conformance Status
Our website is built to conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. It is designed and maintained to meet the four core principles of accessibility:
Perceivable
Information and interface components must be presentable to users in ways they can perceive. Our website addresses this through:
- Alternative text (alt text) provided for all meaningful images
- Decorative images marked appropriately so screen readers ignore them
- Colour contrast ratios meeting or exceeding the WCAG 2.2 AA minimum of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text
- Text that can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
- No content that relies solely on colour to convey meaning
- Captions and transcripts provided for any audio or video content
- Content structured with meaningful headings and landmarks for screen reader navigation
Operable
User interface components and navigation must be operable. Our website addresses this through:
- Full keyboard navigability — all functionality is available without a mouse
- Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements
- No keyboard traps — users can navigate to and from all components using a keyboard
- Skip navigation links to allow users to bypass repeated content
- No content that flashes more than three times per second
- Consistent navigation across pages
- Descriptive page titles and link text that make sense out of context
- No time limits on any content or interaction
Understandable
Information and the operation of user interfaces must be understandable. Our website addresses this through:
- Page language declared in the HTML (lang="en-GB")
- Clear, plain English used throughout — consistent with our commitment to direct communication
- Error messages that clearly identify what has gone wrong and how to correct it
- Form fields with clear, visible labels
- Consistent layout and navigation throughout the site
- No unexpected changes of context on focus or input
Robust
Content must be robust enough to be interpreted by a wide variety of assistive technologies. Our website addresses this through:
- Valid, standards-compliant HTML and CSS
- ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) landmarks and roles used where appropriate
- Compatibility tested with common assistive technologies including screen readers
- Status messages programmatically determined so they can be announced by screen readers without receiving focus
4. WCAG 2.2 — New Criteria
WCAG 2.2 introduced nine new success criteria beyond WCAG 2.1. Our website is designed to address all of these:
- 2.4.11 Focus Appearance (Minimum) — AA Addressed. Focus indicators meet minimum size and contrast requirements.
- 2.4.12 Focus Appearance (Enhanced) — AAA Targeted where achievable. We aim to exceed minimum focus visibility requirements.
- 2.4.13 Focus Appearance — AA Addressed. Focus indicators are clearly visible on all interactive components.
- 2.5.3 Label in Name — A Addressed. Accessible names of interactive components contain the visible label text.
- 2.5.7 Dragging Movements — AA Addressed. No functionality requires dragging. All actions are achievable by single pointer.
- 2.5.8 Target Size (Minimum) — AA Addressed. Interactive targets meet the minimum 24x24 CSS pixel requirement.
- 3.2.6 Consistent Help — A Addressed. Contact information is available consistently across pages in the same location.
- 3.3.7 Redundant Entry — A Addressed. Users are not required to re-enter information already provided in the same session.
- 3.3.8 Accessible Authentication (Minimum) — AA Addressed. No cognitive function tests are required to complete authentication or form submission.
5. Known Limitations
We are committed to transparency about any areas where our website does not yet fully meet WCAG 2.2 AA. At the time of this statement, the following known limitations exist:

Design and development: Our web designer has been briefed to build and maintain the website in accordance with WCAG 2.2 AA standards, including the implementation of appropriate semantic HTML, ARIA landmarks, and security and accessibility headers.
User feedback: Accessibility concerns raised by users will be reviewed and addressed as a priority.
10. Technical Specification
This website relies on the following technologies for conformance with WCAG 2.2 AA:
- HTML5
- CSS3
- JavaScript (where used, with fallbacks provided)
- ARIA — used to supplement native HTML semantics where necessary
These technologies are relied upon for conformance. Where JavaScript is disabled, core content remains accessible.
